Sarah Lapp
Associate Director of Middle School Ministry
Sarah Lapp spends most of her time at Blacknall with the middle schoolers, enjoying their energy, curiosity, and eagerness to jump in and serve others.
Sarah has been worshipping at Blacknall since 2021, when she moved to Durham to attend Duke Divinity School. Originally from State College, PA, she more recently made her home in Charlottesville, VA, where she worked in church music as part of the Trinity Fellows Program and in academic administration at the University of Virginia. Sarah has an M.Div. from Duke and a Bachelors in Music Education from Grove City College.
Sarah loves all things creative and her own Christian imagination has been deeply shaped by the arts, especially music and poetry. When she’s not with the middle schoolers, she enjoys playing violin on the worship team.
