Kids 4 Kids Summer Reading Program Kicks Off June 8

This year, our Kids 4 Kids Summer Reading Program takes on new challenges. All summer long, we see how many books our kids can read from the Blacknall Library. Kids of any age are eligible to read (or be read to!) then record their books on our sticker chart. In August, we add them all up and based on our grand total, we'll give books to our Deep Common Journey partner Families Moving Forward. Last year, we read 876 books and donated 88 books. Can we beat that this summer?

New this year! We’re also collecting new and gently used kids’ books to give to Book Harvest. (No religious books please.) Look for collection boxes in the Commons and in the Library in June.

Stop by the library to sign up. First day to get stickers: June 8. Every week we'll see the total grow — you can start building your reading list now by searching for titles in our library.

Contact Mindy Lance in the Blacknall Library for more details.
