FINANCE | Give Here

We have received $1,463,445 in offerings during this fiscal year (July 1, 2019 to June 7, 2020). Our annual budget is $1,687,052. We will need to receive $223,607 by June 30 to meet our full budget.

This has been an unusual season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some expenses have been reduced as activities have been cancelled. Our expenses are usually close to our budget, but we are currently projecting expenses at around 95% of our budget (around $1,603,000). We will need to receive around $140,000 by June 30 to meet our projected expenses.

 These numbers do not include the federal support Blacknall has received through the Payroll Protection Program. Please contact Rich Frothingham with questions.

PRAYER & THANKSGIVING

West17b.jpg
  • Pray for Blacknall missionary Jenn West in Amsterdam. “I am happy to report that none of my family, friends, or students has been infected with the virus. We have set up online Bible studies with students who haven’t returned home. All ISM groups in the Netherlands have developed some form of virtual gathering to care for international students. I stand in awe, as students have been challenged and come up with new initiatives to minister to one another.”

    • Comfort for the widow and 2 children of Peter, a close friend, who died In late February;

    • Wisdom and strength for Jenn, who spends many hours each day on the phone or internet connecting with students, colleagues, family, and friends;

    • A good adaptation to virtual ministry;

    • Her discipling of Lydia via Zoom.

  • Pray for Campus Minister, Terri Shell, Area Director for InterVarsity based in Raleigh.

    • She is in the midst of four months of sabbatical. “Pray that I will have an open and soft heart to the Lord. That I will let go of expectation and simply receive from him in expectancy.”

    • Pray for two students at Meredith College who became Christians since InterVarsity moved ministry online.

    • Pray for our students as they begin their summer breaks. Pray they will trust the Lord for jobs, for continued time at home, for whatever next semester might bring.

ABOUT THE MUSIC

“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”  “I am going to My Father’s house to prepare a place for you.”  “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor – the Spirit of truth.”  “Because I live, you also will live.”  “If anyone loves Me, he will obey My teaching.  My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.”  “As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you.  Now, abide in My love.”  “I no longer call you servants; instead I call you friends.”  “In this world you will have trouble – but take heart!  I have overcome the world.”  Consider how deep is the Father’s love for us.

How deep the Father’s love for us,
How vast beyond all measure,
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure.
How great the pain of searing loss!
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory.

Behold the Man upon a cross,
My sin upon His shoulders.
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers.
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished;
His dying breath has brought me life.
I know that it is finished.

I will not boast in anything:
No gifts, no power, no wisdom.
But I will boast in Jesus Christ:
His death and resurrection.
Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer.
But this I know with all my heart:
His wounds have paid my ransom.
