Lord, we are scattered. We come to worship, but we remain at home.

Call to Confession

As we come to confession we remember “...it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast” (Eph 2:8-9). With confidence in God’s grace, let us freely confess our sins.

Prayer of Confession

Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from your ways like lost sheep.
We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts.
We have offended against your Holy Laws.
We have done those things which we ought not to have done.
We have left undone those things which we ought to have done. There is no health in us.
But you, Lord, have mercy upon us.
Spare those who confess their faults.
Restore those who are penitent, according to your promise declared unto humankind in Christ Jesus, our Lord, Amen.

Assurance of Pardon

Friends, God’s promise is true: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.

Affirmation of Faith | Apostles Creed

I Corinthians 16

Now about the collection for the Lord’s people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. 2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made. 3 Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem. 4 If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me.

5 After I go through Macedonia, I will come to you—for I will be going through Macedonia. 6 Perhaps I will stay with you for a while, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go. 7 For I do not want to see you now and make only a passing visit; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. 8 But I will stay on at Ephesus until Pentecost, 9 because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me.

10 When Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is carrying on the work of the Lord, just as I am. 11 No one, then, should treat him with contempt. Send him on his way in peace so that he may return to me. I am expecting him along with the brothers.

12 Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He was quite unwilling to go now, but he will go when he has the opportunity.

13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. 14 Do everything in love.

15 You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the Lord’s people. I urge you, brothers and sisters, 16 to submit to such people and to everyone who joins in the work and labors at it. 17 I was glad when Stephanas, Fortunatus and Achaicus arrived, because they have supplied what was lacking from you. 18 For they refreshed my spirit and yours also. Such men deserve recognition.

19 The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house. 20 All the brothers and sisters here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.

21 I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand.

22 If anyone does not love the Lord, let that person be cursed! Come, Lord!

Prayers of Thanksgiving & Intercession | Prayer Requests

O Lord, thank you for living in us and through us. May all that we do flow from a deep connection with you. Help us become a community that vulnerably shares and thoughtfully bears each other’s burdens with respect and love. Father, you remind us that all people bear your image. You, Christ, are praying for us. Holy Spirit, please help us. You want more for us than we can imagine. Help us to want to “grow in every way into him who is the head---Christ” (Eph. 4:16).

Today you hear our hearts’ longings for the healing of our nation and the world.

In peace, we pray to you, Lord God.

For all people in their daily life and work:
For our families, friends, neighbors and for the stranger. We pray for all those who are alone.

For this community, our nation, and the world:
For all who work for justice, freedom and peace.

For the just and proper use of your creation:
For victims of hunger, fear, injustice and oppression.

For all who are in danger, sorrow, or any kind of trouble;
For those who minister to the sick, the friendless, and the needy.

For the peace and unity of the church of God;
For all who proclaim the Gospel, and all who seek the Truth.

For our pastors, elders, deacons and all who bear the burdens of leadership in this time.
Lord give wisdom, love and humility to follow as you lead.

The Lord’s Prayer
