As a follow-up to our event in August with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Brian Goldstone, Blacknall will host another Community Conversation on Homelessness, this time focused on Durham. Join us on Friday, Nov. 6, for a panel discussion about local challenges and ways to help our neighbors in need. Please RSVP for the free event to help us plan ahead.

• Anthony Henderson, Manager, Durham’s Housing Opportunities and Pathways Engagement Team

• Tasha Melvin, Executive Director, Families Moving Forward

• Russell Pierce, Executive Director, Housing for New Hope

• Carl Rist, At-Large Council Member, Durham City Council 

Anthony, Tasha, and Russell are also members of Durham’s Homeless Services Advisory Committee.

Moderated by Pastor Goodie Bell, the event will run from 7 - 8:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The conversation will focus on the scope of homelessness in Durham, how the city and local organizations work to care for our homeless neighbors, and the ways congregations and residents can get involved to help.
