What does it mean to be called to the corner of Iredell and Perry streets? On Wednesdays, Oct. 8 and 15, we’ll discuss how the Lord has guided Blacknall for more than 100 years in this location and how that history will shape our planning for the future.
Toward the end of 2026, we’ll begin a construction project to replace our sanctuary roof structure. Until then, we’ll continue to meet as we always do — architects and engineers have said we can use the space as normal. However, well ahead of when any restoration begins, we want to come together for two Church Family Dinners. It will give us time to share information and reflect on this once-in-a-century opportunity to reaffirm our calling to this place.
We’ll meet from 5:30 - 8 p.m. both evenings, with a catered dinner and fellowship from 5:30 - 6:45 p.m.
The cost of each dinner is $10 per person or $30 per family, with the option of paying for both Church Family Dinners at once.
Scholarships to cover food costs are available as needed.
Childcare is available for newborns and children through grade 5 — register here.
After dinner, we'll offer different programming on Oct. 8 and 15:
On Oct. 8, we’ll begin an information session at 7 p.m. to talk about the process that led to the hiring of an architect. We’ll get to hear from Paul Young, president of DTW Architects & Planners, the firm hired by the Session for this work.
On Oct. 15, we’ll recap the previous session at 7 p.m. before spending time in group prayer, discussion, and discernment about what it means to be a faithful witness and good neighbor in our location.
If you can’t attend on Oct. 8 or 15, information and an FAQ will be posted online and shared via email.
All are welcome and we encourage our youth to participate! High schoolers can attend and middle schoolers can attend or sign-up to help with childcare by contacting Director of Children's Ministry Brandon Miller.
