Join the Blacknall Film Collective on Saturday, Oct. 11 for a screening of “Sinners,” a historical vampire film set in the Jim Crow South considered a frontrunner for a Best Picture Oscar nomination. Showtime is 7 p.m. at the home of Candy and Mark Richardson in Durham. The screening will be outdoors, so dress appropriately.
Directed by Ryan Coogler (“Black Panther,” “Creed”), the movie tells the story of twin brothers played by Michael B. Jordan who’ve tried to leave troubled lives behind and return to their Mississippi hometown to start again. There, they discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back. A discussion will follow on Saturday, Nov. 22. If you can't attend the group screening, you can still watch the movie on your own and join the discussion.
For location details and to RSVP, join the Film Collective on Church Center. Email Lindsey Dunn with any questions.
