The Mt. Level Community Partnership for Racial Justice invites you to join a five-week study of the “Letter from Birmingham Jail.” Penned from his Birmingham jail cell in 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King’s powerful letter continues to speak to us today. All are welcome. The study will meet on Tuesday evenings, April 9 - May 14, from 7 - 8:30 p.m. over Zoom.

The Mt. Level Community Partnership for Racial Justice is hosting a pilgrimage from March 4 - 8, 2024 to places in Alabama important to the civil rights movement. The experience offers participants the opportunity to learn more about the history of racial injustice and hear stories about how God has worked through individuals and churches to pursue justice through nonviolent resistance. As a church-based partnership, the hosts will incorporate worship, prayer, and Scripture into the participant’s time together — seeking wisdom to understand what it means to pursue racial justice.

Samaritan Health Center ISO Volunteer Respiratory Therapist
Samaritan Health Center, a faith-based free and charitable clinic in Durham, is seeking a volunteer respiratory therapist to set up CPAPs for patients after their sleep studies. The studies are completed, and they have the CPAPs! However, they need an additional RT to set up the machines for patients.

The Center for Christianity and Scholarship (CCS) at Duke, a Blacknall campus ministry partner, is seeking homestays for a male and a female intern beginning this August or September through May 31, 2024.
CCS at Duke Is Hiring
The internship program of the Consortium of Christian Study Centers (CCSC) provides training, development and coaching for recent graduates serving at Christian study centers for one year. The Center for Christianity and Scholarship at Duke University, a Blacknall-supported campus partner, has open positions. This is a full-time, paid internship that includes a vocational mentor and ongoing training with a cohort of other young professionals. A salary and housing are provided.
