Since we began our search for our next Senior Pastor in December 2022, you have been praying. We are grateful; we have felt the Spirit’s guidance and encouragement every step of the way. We sense the Lord at work right now, and we yearn for the Spirit to keep moving. Would you join us in praying fervently in the coming weeks?

As we continue the work of discerning whom God is calling to be our next Senior Pastor, we have been grateful for your prayers and words of encouragement. We ask for your continued prayers for discernment as we meet with candidates, pray, and seek God’s wisdom and guidance.

The Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) is continuing work on the search for our next Senior Pastor. As we work diligently on this search, we want to share with you that we have been unified in our work.

A few Sundays ago, PNC co-chair Michael Whisenhunt presented an update on our work. He shared that we expect our search to continue well into next year. We know that while many of you are eagerly awaiting the announcement and arrival of our next Senior Pastor, others among us feel encouraged that our church is thriving and are content to wait. While we all wait with varying emotions and expectations, please know that our goal remains to walk in step with God’s Spirit through this process.

The Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) is continuing the work of in-depth conversation and discernment within the interview phase, as we seek to discern who God is calling to be our next Senior Pastor.

The prayers of you, the congregation, have been encouraging and sustaining us throughout this process. Please continue praying! Please pray that God will guide us clearly through his Holy Spirit and that we will clearly hear His Voice.

Over the past few weeks, the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) has been interviewing candidates for our next Senior Pastor. As Don shared in the Sunday morning services on May 7, we have been very encouraged by the conversations we’ve had with candidates.

At this time, we are no longer accepting applications. Please join us in thanking God for the work and witness of each person we have engaged with so far. Please pray for wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit as we enter this next phase of discernment. In the coming months, we will be having more in-depth conversations with a small number of candidates.

The Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) is transitioning into a new phase of our Senior Pastor search as we begin interviewing candidates, while continuing to receive applications. We have been so encouraged by the conversations we are having with people in the candidate pool.

The Pastor Nominating Committee continues to work toward finalizing the Ministry Information Form (MIF) which is a document used to describe to candidates who we are as a church and what we are looking for in a senior pastor. We expect the MIF to be finalized this month and we will be back in touch when it is.
