Our Curious Catechism series is now available as a complete set, making it easy for families to explore big questions about the Christian faith. Written in kid-friendly text with all kinds of activities, Blacknall’s catechism draws from the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds, the Westminster and Heidelberg Catechisms, the Book of Common Prayer, and many other sources. These booklets have been edited and compiled by Director of Children’s Ministry Brandon Miller, Pastor Goodie Bell, and theologian Kaitlyn Schiess.
The box set includes 12 booklets, a catechism card deck with 52 questions, a starter guide for parents, and a checklist for kids to track progress to earn prizes for finishing booklets.
How to Use the Box Set
Begin with the starter guide. It explains how to use the catechism, recommends books and music, and lists questions you’ll encounter.
Engage with every activity. Even if it doesn’t land the same way for every age! Younger kids will get early exposure to theological ideas and older kids get to make sure they have the basics down.
Earn prizes. When kids show a completed checklist to Brandon, they’ll receive prizes that include: a catechism sticker (one complete booklet), an item from a treasure box (three and six complete booklets), and an invitation to a pizza party (complete all 12 booklets).
These boxes aren’t only for Blacknall families with elementary-age kids! If you’d like one for yourself, or you know someone outside Blacknall who would use it, email Brandon.
