A new piece of art created by Blacknall kids is now on display in the Upper Atrium. Prompted by Jesus’ blessing of children in Mark 10:13-16, the mosaic includes images of animals that reminded our young artists of themselves, placed over the shape of a lamb. The project was part of Children’s Art Club, which took place in January and February and offered artistic inspiration under the theme of “Journeying to Jerusalem.”
“We hope that this work can somehow communicate the mysterious goodness of Christ’s blessing of the children,” said Director of Children’s Ministry Brandon Miller. “The tiles each contain a piece of the children’s vibrant individuality, but the big image is of Christ the Passover Lamb.”
