El Futuro, a Blacknall ministry partner that provides Spanish-speaking community members with culturally sensitive mental health services, needs volunteers for its Latino Cultural Festival on Sunday, Sept. 28. Volunteer slots last 90 minutes and include positions for greeters and working at registration and game tables. Slots cover 4 - 5:30 p.m. or 5:30 - 7 p.m. The event takes place at the El Futuro Clinic at 2020 Chapel Hill Road in Durham (map). You can sign up to volunteer online.

All are welcome to attend the free event, which includes traditional foods, dance performances, and more. The festival will celebrate the customs of countries like Cuba, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. Learn more on the El Futuro website.
