On Sunday, Aug. 23, we will hold a Congregational Meeting at the conclusion of both services to elect at-large members of the Officer Nominating Committee, which identifies people for election to serve Blacknall as Elders or Deacons. The committee currently consists of Melissa Hartemink (Chair, Session representative), Ron Manila (Vice Chair, Session representative), Jessica Steinbrenner (Diaconate representative), and Goodie Bell and David Dunderdale (pastors, ex-officio).
The proposed candidates to serve as at-large members are Jeff Baker, Maria Bradshaw, Mark Hayes, Jillian Marcantonio, Mary Mathew, and Christian Pikaart.
Blacknall members may vote for up to six candidates. You must be a member to cast a ballot. Following the election, the committee will begin a season of discernment, with input from the congregation, to identify whom God may be calling to serve Blacknall as Elders and Deacons. The officer election will take place in spring 2027.
