Our ministry partner, Iglesia Emanuel Presbyterian Church, is looking for volunteer tutors to serve Latine students in kindergarten through grade 12 as part of the church’s Emanuel Learning Center program. The one-on-one tutoring pairs you with the same student throughout the academic year. A goal of the program isn’t to just have you do homework with them but help a student enhance skills and creativity that will help them thrive in school and in life.

Tutors volunteer at least once a week on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 5:45 - 7 p.m. at Iglesia Emanuel on North Roxboro Street (map). If you’re interested in helping, you can fill out a tutor application. Email Emanuel Learning Center Coordinator Mimi Dunn with any questions.
