You can care for Durham’s unhoused population by helping us hand out premade hygiene kits to those in need. Available for pickup in marked bins in the Lower Atrium, each kit includes a variety of personal care items like soap, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a washcloth, and more. There are also kits with feminine hygiene products in a blue plastic IKEA bag. The kits were created by members of Blacknall’s Young Adult Ministry after a Sunday School discussion of homelessness highlighted a desire to create something our members and visitors could do to help others.
