Lent encourages us to enter into 40 days of deeper reflection as we ponder Christ’s solemn journey to the cross, as well as his victorious resurrection on Easter Sunday. Lent begins on February 14 with Ash Wednesday.
Once again this year, we have published a Lenten resource page on Blacknall's website. Curated with input from the Durham Ministry & Engagement Team (DMET), the Blacknall library, and our worship ministry, what you will find on this page is a collection of resources — a playlist, online devotionals (coming soon!), book recommendations for adults and children — to help guide you in personal and/or group reflection.
You will also find on this page updates about opportunities to gather and worship with the Blacknall community during this important season in the church's life together, including a Shove Tuesday Pancake Supper, our Ash Wednesday service, weekly Simple Suppers and Lenten services, as well as Lenten activities organized by the Men's Ministry.
If you have questions about the information on this page, please contact Sondra Haaga, Director of Communications. You can also find information about Blacknall's Lenten activities at the bottom of this email.
