The Blacknall Women in Healthcare group will host a small group discussion and hands-on workshop on kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery. “Holding Brokenness and Restoration with Christ: A Kintsugi Reflection and Creative Practice” is open to all women in medical professions and will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 3:30 p.m. in Durham. Working in healthcare means encountering brokenness daily. This gathering will offer an opportunity to connect that experience more deeply with Christian faith. The afternoon will include:

• A brief devotional on brokenness and restoration in Christ

• A hands-on kintsugi experience — bowls and materials will be provided

• Personal reflection and conversation

• Light refreshments and fellowship

There are 14 spots available for the kintsugi art project, but all are welcome to join for the afternoon, even if you choose not to participate. Email Frauke Schaefer with questions.
