Block Party

  • Iredell Street, Blacknall (map)

It’s time to fill Iredell Street for our annual block party! The celebration returns on Sunday, April 26, after the end of our 11 a.m. service. Make sure to come back to Blacknall or stick around after the service as we close Iredell Street from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. and serve up lunch, open a bounce house for kids, and more. Everything at this family-friendly block party is free, so invite your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers to join us.

Here’s what you need to know:

You can help! Volunteer for as little as 30 minutes

We’re looking for people to help set up, prepare and serve food, supervise the bounce house, monitor kids’ activities, and clean up. Many volunteer slots are only 30 minutes long. Sign up to volunteer! Email George Olaru with any questions.

We’ve Got the Main Dish — Share a Side or Dessert

We’ll be serving barbecue, hot dogs, and veggie burgers, and you can help by preparing food to share as part of a potluck lunch. To make it easy on deciding what to choose, make a type of dish based on whether your last name starts with:

  • A - G: salad

  • H - N: side dish

  • O - Z: dessert

When you arrive, drop off your food in the kitchen and we’ll handle the rest!

BYO-Chair

Outside seating will be limited, so please consider bringing a lawn chair.
