StepUp Durham, a Blacknall ministry partner, will host its annual IMPACT fundraising event on Thursday, April 16 from 12 - 2 p.m. at ReCity Network in Durham (map). The organization has a goal of raising $150,000 to support its free employment readiness training, personalized coaching, employer referrals, and supportive services to job seekers. Tickets can be purchased online for $33.85, with sales going to support StepUp.
The event will honor StepUp participants and volunteers, featuring inspiring stories and a performance by Walltown Children’s Theatre. It will be emceed by Mikaya Thurmond, a nationally recognized communications strategist, award-winning former WRAL anchor, and CEO of Milan Public Relations.
