The 2023 Durham CROP Walk was the largest walk in the nation, and this year for 2024 we raised more funds for the hungry than ever before, with a current total of over $216,000! This remarkable total is due to people like you who donate to support Church World Service relief efforts all around the world and right here in our backyard. Thank you for your help and your donations! There is still time to donate for 2024.
Situation Report:
Amid ongoing search and rescue efforts in western North Carolina, emergency relief work continues to challenge, and strain seasoned federal, state, and local response organizations. Storm-battered Florida is again in a state of emergency as residents assess another round of devastation.
CROP Hunger Walks:
CROP Hunger Walks raise critical funds that enable CWS to prepare for and respond immediately to catastrophic emergencies, like the destruction caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. While CROP Hunger Walks support critical global and local hunger fighting efforts, an additional portion of the funds raised this fall will be designated to long-term disaster recovery in these devastated communities. See the CWS website for more details on their hurricane relief efforts in Western NC and other impacted areas.
When you give funds through the CROP Hunger Walk, you help hurricane survivors now and along the road to recovery - for years to come.
