Join us for a transformative two-day workshop at Blacknall on April 5 – 6 that will explore the intersections of faith, scripture, and race relations in the United States. Together, we'll explore the enduring challenges of race and division and discover God's heart for reconciliation and justice. Through scripture, dialogue, prayer, and reflection, we'll confront the barriers that divide us and develop a biblical vision toward multiethnicity and justice.
Over this weekend, we will:
Gain a deeper understanding of the issues surrounding race and ethnicity
Develop a common language to address them
Cultivate meaningful relationships
Develop a shared vision for a more just and equitable society
Equip our community to walk in love and faithfulness as we live out God's call to unity and justice.
Led by a four-person teaching team, including Blacknall’s own Charlene Brown, this workshop is organized by Blacknall’s Jesus, Race, and the Church Committee. Visit the registration page to learn more about these dynamic presenters.
The program will begin Friday at 6 p.m. and last all day Saturday until 4 p.m. The cost to attend is $20 per participant and includes some meals. Free childcare is available for children ages birth to 5th grade. The registration deadline is Wednesday, April 3. Contact Pastor David Dunderdale with questions.
