Prayer

Ministry Partners:

  • Campus—We pray for Lynerd Tillery working with Every Nation Campus ministry at North Carolina Central University.  Thank God for a successful school year of ministry where student leaders stepped up to take new leadership as Lynerd was not allowed to be on campus due to the coronavirus.  Students initiated evangelistic outreach and opportunities for fellowship together.  Please be praying for students who will be involved with a 7-week discipleship course this summer.  Pray for Lynerd as he works this summer to raise up more financial partners for his ministry.

  • International—We pray for Blacknall supported missionaries Jonathan and Rocio Mikes. They are now living in Charlotte, NC where Jonathan is serving as Director of Global Ministry for United World Mission. They write, “We served on the ground in Mexico for 12 years, helping launch two ministries in the Coyoacan area of southern Mexico City: La Fuente Church and BridgeWay North American School….  We have two children, Sara & Daniel, who have grown up in Mexico City but consider Iowa a second home.” Prayer Requests: (1)  the fullness of God’s Spirit to be upon Jonathan, as he leads and learns in his role as Director of Global Ministries; (2) guidance for the family, as they seek to be connected to a church; (3) the leadership of La Fuente Church in Mexico City to persevere and to gain renewed strength amidst the limits of a virtual church; (4) the leadership of BridgeWay School, as they make a risky but essential pivot to a new accreditation model.

    • Please pray for summer learning opportunities for our young people who need additional academic support.

    • Praise that over half of our young people have excelled with online learning!

    • Prayer that those students who struggled would not be discouraged and find encouragement from family, friends and teachers.

    • Prayer for the continued anxiety and frustration many families are facing due to health and justice uncertainties.

  • We pray for those around the world who are being persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ.  We pray that they might be faithful and that their persecution would lead to the spreading of the gospel.
