Durham CROP Hunger Walk

  • Duke Chapel 401 Chapel Drive Durham, NC, 27705 United States (map)

This year’s CROP Hunger Walk is on April 2, 2023, Palm Sunday. It will start at Duke Chapel at 2:30 p.m.; festivities start at 1:30 p.m. Walk with us, donate, or help others in support of the Walk.

This Year’s Goals

We have set a Durham-wide goal of $200,000, the highest raised in quite a few years! Our Walk will send $50,000 to local Durham ministries. Blacknall participates each year, and we are setting our team goal to $4200 (up from $4005 raised in 2022). That is easily within reach!

About the Crop Walk

“CROP Hunger Walks are community-based walk fundraising events held in cities and towns across the United States, created to support the global mission of Church World Service, a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster.” The Durham Walk supports 14 local charities, many of which are part of Blacknall’s outreach already. Check out the CROP Hunger Walk video:

Penn Holderness (local internet personality and winner of The Amazing Race with his wife, Kim) has a special connection to the Durham CROP Walk. Learn more in this short video.

How To Donate

To donate, you can select a donor by searching at the top of the page for a specific person (e.g., type all or part of a name to find any name), and then choosing that name. You can also donate to the church team, but we’d prefer to associate your donation with the person who invited you.
