Welcome to Blacknall Memorial Presbyterian Church! Sunday worship is the heart of our life at Blacknall. Every Sunday we gather to celebrate Jesus Christ as our Lord. Join us for in-person worship Sundays at 8:30 or 11 a.m. Services include many elements of a traditional Christian liturgy, such as confession and weekly communion by intinction (bread dipped in a communal cup). There is also a time of informal sharing and prayer. Our livestream is at 8:30 a.m.

Children’s Worship

During Sunday worship, children in pre-K(4) - 2nd grade should sit with their parents in the Sanctuary until they are called forward for the Children’s Blessing. Teachers will then escort children downstairs to their classrooms. See more details.

Sunday School (10 a.m.)

Join us for Sunday School — all ages are welcome! Our summer session begins June 1. Read more about our classes for adults, youth, and children.

World

  • We pray for the Democratic Republic of Congo, as M23 rebel groups have overtaken Goma and Bukavu, causing massive displacements. We continue to pray for our mission partners in Beni and Bunia, for their safety, and for peace in the entire region.  

  • We pray for our mission partners and other organizations serving at-risk populations in the face of uncertainty around critical government resources. We pray that the most vulnerable would be cared for even as policies are in flux.

  • We pray for the people of Israel and Palestine. We pray for the release of the remaining hostages, and we pray for peace and protection for the people in Gaza, Israel, the West Bank, and Lebanon.

  • We pray for the people of Ukraine and that they would be set free from the Russian aggression.

  • We pray for our president and other world leaders that they would make decisions that are right and that would make for peace and justice.

Life Together

  • We pray for our summer Interns: Zeke Epps, Avyi Hill, and Suzanne Pape. We pray for good fellowship together in their work and for them to be blessed as they are blessing our congregation this summer.

DITA2025 is a four-day symposium at Duke designed for clergy, lay people, artists, academics, and theologians alike. Speakers and artists include Rowan Williams, Sandra McCracken, Chigozie Obioma, Amy Peeler, Malcolm Guite, and more.
