The Kids 2 Kids Summer Reading Program is here! For every 10 books that Blacknall kids read from our library, we’ll give one book to a local kids’ ministry. Just stop by the library every Sunday to get a sticker for each book read, then put it on our poster of books outside the library. Each filled book means we can give away another book. Kids from birth through high school can participate. Even if you read only a few, every book counts in our final total! Remember: The more books you read, the more books we’ll give! Last year, we gave away 25 books. With your help, we can give even more this year! Questions? Contact Mindy Lance.
“In Godly Play, you are invited to play, not just in general, but play with the language of God and God’s people: our sacred stories, parables, liturgical actions, and silences. Through this powerful language, through our wondering, through the community of players gathered together, we hear the deepest invitation of all: an invitation to come play with God.” We are currently recruiting new volunteers to be a part of our Godly Play ministry to children. We use this method for Sunday School, Children’s Church, and Junior Church. If you would like to know more, please contact Beth Solie or Traci Hoover.
If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the new small groups’ website, or email smallgroups@blacknallpres.org for more info. Sermon series questions are posted weekly on the website, along with a list of current small groups.
