July 16- Mission Sunday

On Sunday, July 16 we’ll have two opportunities over food and fellowship, to learn more about what God’s doing in the world through Blacknall supported missionaries. Please see details below.

Sunday, July 16 at 12:45 p.m. – Potluck lunch with Joel Dahms
Joel, a member at Blacknall, graduated from high school a year ago and took a “gap year.”  For part of that “gap year” he took a course on “missionography.” This was to learn how to use photography and video to tell the story of missions and of missionaries.  He then took those skills and traveled to visit four of Blacknall’s missionaries:  Rich and Barb Leary in Budapest, Hungary; Jenn West in Amsterdam, Netherlands; Hunter and Lauri Lambeth in Israel/Palestine, and ‘Ale and Lynn Vanderwoude-‘Aho in Tonga.  Joel will give a brief report in the worship service and a longer report with more of his pictures and videos at a potluck lunch in the Fellowship Hall following second service.

5- 6:15 p.m – Report from Team to Israel/Palestine over pizza
We will hear from the Blacknall team that visited the Holy Land last month to support the work of Blacknall missionaries Hunter & Lauri Lambeth. The team will report on their work with the Lambeths and Young Life in Palestine and in Israel. The meeting will be in the Fellowship Hall and will include a light supper of pita and pizza.
