Welcome to the Blacknall Adult Retreat (BAR)! The BAR is an annual event held in February, and everyone over the age of 18 is welcome to come. You do not have to be a member of Blacknall to attend. In fact, you do not even have to be a Presbyterian! Just someone who loves the Lord and wants to grow in their walk with Him.

Bogue Banks Island, North Carolina
Our speaker this weekend is Dean Storelli. As a student, he was a member of Blacknall from 1982 to 1986. He has since spent time as a missionary with The Navigators in Japan and on the “mission field” of Duke’s campus. At the retreat, we will explore how we can be involved in the advance of the Gospel in a way that is gracious and will examine a way of interacting with everyone we meet in a way that is pleasing to God and attractive to others. Dean will be sharing stories from his own life and from years of helping others live fruitfully for the King and for his Kingdom.
Topics will include the following:
• “A Bridge Too Far” – why many good-hearted attempts at outreach fail.
• The importance of authentic relationships: you are the technique.
• The “Ls” – Live, Love, Laugh, Learn…
•Optional Dignity of Work workshop.

Location
Trinity Center is a lovely Episcopalian retreat center located near Salter Path on Bogue Banks Island off the coast of North Carolina. The conference grounds is sequestered in the middle of 60 acres of natural coastal beauty, bounded by Bogue Sound to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. Registration
The cost of the retreat is $375 for two people sharing a room, $250 for a single private room. All rooms are double occupancy with linens provided. The price includes a meal on Friday night, three meals on Saturday, and two on Sunday.
The deadline for registration is January 15, 2013. Please print the registration form and submit or mail it along with a $100 non-refundable deposit per person to Nan Lee by that date.
