Did you know Blacknall has over twenty ministries? We invite you to visit their exhibit tables – to inform you and to invite your further questions and participation. Whether you are as new as a still-frozen LocoPop in August or whether you have been around since Brunswick stew days, come join in the fun. We’ll serve corn dogs and popcorn, and set the stage for you to explore many ministry opportunities. The event is hosted by Hospitality and Congregational Care Committees. Contact Stella Sieber for exhibit information.
(This is a past event.)
Can you make time to serve one weekend meal to our neighbors in downtown Durham? Urban Ministries opens its doors to anyone who is hungry, and feeds him. This ministry needs our support! On the second Saturday of each month, eight servants from Blacknall meet at Urban Ministries to prepare and lay out a luncheon. Join us on Saturday, September 8! Contact Susan. If you can’t come, please help us by praying that our hearts will be moved by our time with these strangers.
The Inquirers and New Members Class begins Sunday, October 7 at 5 p.m. in the parlor. Contact Allan Poole or the church office if you are interesting in participating in the class. Child care will be provided.
Are you interested in joining a small group at Blacknall? Well, now’s the time! Several new groups are starting and others have openings. Young, old, married, single – we’d love to help get you connected. Visit our table in the atrium today. Contact Bill Allard (401-4110, smallgroups@blacknallpres.org).
Mark your calendars! The Men’s Ministry Retreat is scheduled for September 28-30 at Camp Chestnut Ridge.
