Memorial Weekend Brunch Potluck

Sunday, May 28, 10 a.m. | Fellowship Hall

Join us for fellowship and yummy food! Bring a breakfast treat to share. No nursery or Sunday School classes.

St. Joseph’s Breakfasts for Homeless Neighbors

Can you scramble eggs and brew coffee? Consider lending your talents to St. Joseph’s over the summer as we help prepare and serve breakfast for our homeless neighbors during the week.

The need is for a few people to help on a regular basis beginning in May. If we get enough response, we could have Blacknall teams who take a morning of the week or of the month. Or, individuals could be asked to fill in as needed.

If interested, contact James Todd (jamestoddemail@gmail.com).

Summer Reading Group

Thursdays, May 18-July 20, 9:30-11:15 a.m.
Blacknall Fellowship Hall

Register by May 11.

Let’s gather for casual discussion as we read  “Long Days of Small Things: Motherhood as a Spiritual Discipline” by Catherine McNeil.  The hope is to rotate group facilitators so that leadership is shared week to week. Childcare is provided, please include names and ages when you register. Participants purchase their own books, which are available on Amazon. Contact: Meredith Milke.

About the book – “Rich, soul-inspiring practices for moms who have neither quiet nor time.Bleary-eyed from lack of sleep, without a moment of peace and quiet, you wonder if the spiritual life you crave is even possible. But God sees you. He designed this parenting journey, after all. He understands the chaos of motherhood. Catherine McNeill invites you to connect with God right here, in the sacred mundane of every mothering moment.”
